I recently purchased my first car from Braman BMW Miami, and honestly, I truly wanted this to be a positive experience. I trusted this dealership, especially because of its reputation, and I expected a level of professionalism and customer care that would make buying my first vehicle exciting and memorable for the right reasons. Unfortunately, the exact opposite happened. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I discovered that the car only came with one key. This also affected my ability to properly set up certain BMW digital key features that require both keys. I immediately reached out to ask whether a second key could still be obtained, especially since I had purchased key protection coverage as part of my package. At the same time, I also asked whether wheel and tire protection could still be added afterward, since I had previously been told that it might still be possible. Due to the amount of construction in my area and concerns about tire damage, this was something genuinely important to me. What followed was over six weeks of constant follow-ups, repeated messages, delays, vague responses, and promises that someone was “looking into it,” “checking with management,” “contacting the previous owner,” or that I would receive an answer “tomorrow” or “later today.” I remained patient and professional throughout the entire process because I believed the dealership was actively working toward a resolution. After more than a month of waiting, the final answers I received were simply that the car only came with one key from the previous owner and that I did not have wheel and tire protection. The most frustrating part is not even the final outcome itself — it’s the fact that it took over six weeks of repeated follow-ups to receive answers that I personally felt could have been clarified much earlier in the process. What made this experience especially disappointing was the lack of communication, follow-through, accountability, and respect for my time as a customer after the sale was completed. I consistently had to be the one reaching out for updates, and even management involvement did not lead to timely or clear communication. I almost recommended this dealership to a friend before all of this happened, and honestly, I’m relieved I experienced this first before encouraging someone else to purchase here and potentially go through the same thing. I understand that issues happen, especially with pre-owned vehicles. However, clear communication, transparency, and proper customer support should not disappear after paperwork is signed. The customer service experience did not meet the expectations I had when purchasing from a BMW dealership.
