He's not there just to sell you a car, he wants to help you find the vehicle that will best suit your needs, at a price you can afford. I took my son to make his first car purchase. With no credit history, we knew it was going to be a struggle. Wes was incredibly understanding and helpful as we fumbled through the process. They did a nice job detailing and servicing the car before I bought it. New tires brakes and oil change. I would buy from them again. Quick and easy including financing.
Brandon Tolen 3 months agoI purchased a 2011 BMW 328xi from Gateway Auto Sales (Omaha, NE) in July 2025. I understood the vehicle was sold as-is, but the purchase price reflected fair-market value for a vehicle in good condition, supported by dealership reputation, CARFAX service history, and statements made during the sale. Shortly after purchase, the vehicle exhibited a persistent transmission shudder at highway speeds that has been present since day one. In August 2025, during manufacturer recall work, BMW of Omaha performed a multi-point inspection and documented several significant mechanical issues, including a cracked valve cover, oil-filter-housing gasket leak contaminating the coolant system, and oil saturation of the alternator. BMW marked multiple items as “fail,” which they define as requiring immediate replacement for safety or functionality reasons. Their estimate exceeded $4,300 and did not include transmission or alternator replacement. CARFAX records show the vehicle underwent pre-sale servicing and fluid changes while in the dealer’s possession and was driven over 2,000 miles before sale. When I later requested transmission specific internal service records and clarification, I was told that all work performed was reflected on CARFAX, though some repairs referenced in communication were not listed. I was also informed that a prior pre-purchase inspection conducted before my purchase was not disclosed because the dealer did not pay for it. The vehicle is now operating only after I replaced the alternator at my own expense although poorly and I have been advised not to drive it until I address the transmission issue. I have also been advised by an independent mechanic that the torque converter likely requires replacement. Documentation, inspection reports, and receipts are available. I have now serviced the transmission and valve body and found that the transmission fluid was extremely dark indicating it’s very old. This was surprising as the vehicle has only been driven about 8000 miles since gateway entered that they changed the fluid. This was my first vehicle purchase without guidance, and the experience has been nothing but financially and emotionally stressful. I am sharing this to encourage future buyers to obtain independent inspections, request complete written service records, and carefully evaluate all documentation before purchasing.

We have now purchased our 3rd car from Gateway and they have always always ALWAYS helped us out and made sure we understand everything. We will always go back and will recommend people to go there as well.
Matt Volmer 3 months agoWes, Joe, and Josh were fantastic to work with. Very straightforward, honest, no gimmicks. The vehicles are reasonably priced and they didn’t try to throw on a bunch of hidden fees on anything. Overall, I had a fantastic car buying experience and would absolutely recommended Gateway Auto.
