Purchasing a vehicle from the web can be a coin toss. The sales staff at North Texas Truck Stop made the experience simple and gave me confidence it was the right decision. Knowing I had a 750 mile return trip the salesman met me earlier than regular hours and expedited the paperwork process so I could get on the road. Their maintenance department had the vehicle immaculately cleaned and ready to go by the time I finished with the sales process. Overall, a great experience.

I’m going to give a breakdown of what my 1 month of experience has been with the pickup I bought from NTTS. I found the pickup on marketplace and made contact with Ryan. I asked him for a video to prove no blow by and no upper oil pan leak on the pickup I was interested in(picture #1 included below which is not even really the upper oil pan). As you can see in the photo the undercarriage has very obviously been cleaned up for an 8 year old pickup. Photo checks out and I don’t see any obvious signs of an upper oil pan leak and video shows no blow by. I then drive 4 and a half hours to test drive and pick the pickup up. Test drive goes fine all I found that was clear and obvious was a little fuel dripping onto the crossmember due to them fulfilling my request of changing the fuel filters. So we drive home 350 miles and the next day I run to a diesel shop near me to get quoted on a fuel pump conversion and he takes a look and it is leaking coolant from nearly every connection and now has oil residue all around the upper oil pan. I contact Ryan and everything was cool, I told him I was going to change the CCV and see if it stopped the leak because he told me that it was not leaking and had checked it multiple times. Trust was still good. I then have 4 different connections and basically an entire new coolant line system put in before the coolant leaks have actually stopped, which cost me $1000 in parts and labor. This is done by my personal mechanic and he mainly works on gas vehicles. He also tells me that the upper oil pan is leaking. I then decide to get a third opinion from my trusted Ford Diesel Mechanic and he as well agrees that the upper oil pan is leaking. I ask Ryan to call me when he got a chance because I wanted to discuss this issue. 3 business days go by and he doesn’t call, so I call him finally. Trust is gone. He proceeds to tell me that the upper oil pan isn’t leaking because it never leaked onto the ground and was just normal seepage, and that the coolant leaks were just coincidental (4 of them). Yes they could be coincidental, but they sprung up the day after I bought the pickup, at least before I was aware of it, and there was 4 different leaks and the reservoir nipple was cracked. I decided I didn’t want to deal with it and would just be the bigger person, but I changed my mind. I’m not the bad guy in this situation. Just a young guy buying his first heavy duty diesel and trusting in a dealership that has great reviews about how they stand by their trucks which is not what my experience has been. I value integrity and value doing business with people who have integrity, so this is not my ideal situation. Fast forward to 02/12/2026 and my AC compressor goes out and I’m about to be $2500 deep in repairs, and still have an upper oil pan leak (those pictures are posted below as well, I did my best to get pictures of clearly saturated spots). This is clearly not just seepage, it’s just that the undercarriage was cleaned off and it wasn’t apparent that there was a leak until the truck had actually been driven enough to show the leak for what it is actually worth. This pickup was misrepresented to me, in my opinion, and I have all the documentation I need, to allow anyone else that is thinking about buying from here, to form their own opinion as well. Just want to make it known to others that are thinking about using this dealership that not everything that they have in the reviews is true with every situation.

This was our second purchase from Grant. He made the whole experience easy and thorough. The inventory had a nice variety of trucks and he helped us to find the perfect fit for our needs. We will return when it comes time again for another purchase.
