Huge shoutout to Benjamin at CarMax for completely changing my experience and helping me drive home in an amazing car that exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, he was welcoming, professional, friendly, and incredibly patient throughout the entire process. He took the time to answer every single question I had and made sure I felt confident and excited every step of the way. This was especially meaningful because I previously had a disappointing experience at this location, so I honestly wasn’t expecting much walking in this time around. However, Benjamin completely turned that around with his positive attitude, professionalism, and genuine willingness to help. He truly made the entire process smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable. Easy process selling a car. Got the appraisal and express check out online. Once arrived, I checked in, moved my car to the service bay and waited for an associate to finalize the paperwork. From arrival to the check being in my hand was about 15 minutes. Waited another 15 minutes for my free Lyft ride home. Honestly surprised how quick the process was.

I had an exceptional experience selling my car at CarMax, and I really want to give a special shoutout to Abby for going above and beyond in a way that truly impressed me. I came in with a fairly unusual situation — my 2026 Honda CR-V couldn’t be scanned by their system due to compatibility issues with newer vehicle data protocols. At first, it looked like the deal might not go through. But Abby didn’t stop there — she took full ownership and put in a lot of effort to find a way forward. Even after I left the store earlier in the day, Abby continued doing research to understand what might be causing the issue. She looked into differences with newer vehicle systems and explored multiple approaches instead of simply turning me away or asking me to come back another time. What really stood out was her dedication on-site. She carefully inspected the vehicle in detail and even went underneath the car herself to check additional information when things weren’t straightforward. It was clear she was genuinely trying to help me complete the process and save me time, rather than just following the standard workflow. Throughout the whole experience, Abby stayed patient, proactive, and solution-oriented. She went the extra mile to help a customer in a situation that was not typical, and that made a huge difference. This level of service is rare. Huge thanks to Abby and the CarMax team for the support — highly recommend!

Carmax was one of the best car dealer experiences I’ve ever had buying and selling cars. I sold a few cars here and the employees were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They made the process very, very easy and time efficient. The prices they offered were fair. I could’ve gotten a little bit more money selling private party, but it’s just not worth the hassle selling six cars. It was simply a great experience overall.

My recent visit at CarMax Serramonte was very pleasant. It truly set the standard for professionalism and customer care. My husband and I love their no-pressure approach, easy managed online appointment times. Pretty much everything can be done online but you are very welcome to visit them in person. The staff (Ben, Hector and Paul)were very helpful, knowledgeable to make sure that all your questions were answered. Our entire buying experience was smooth and enjoyable! It is less than a month since we bought a car from them and I would love to share more in the weeks to come.
