Christian artiga 3 weeks agoLet me start by saying I purchased this vehicle without physically seeing it. This is not the first time I’ve bought a vehicle this way, and in the past I’ve been fortunate to work with dealerships that were honest and upfront. Given the price I paid for this vehicle, I expected that same level of transparency — unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I purchased a 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser, which arrived at my home earlier this week after two days in transit. Within less than two hours of it being at my house, the vehicle would not start. The battery was completely dead. I had to purchase a new battery. After speaking with qualified individuals, I was told that this type of issue does not typically happen overnight and was likely a known problem that had been ignored prior to the sale. In addition to the mechanical issue, there were several visible cosmetic problems that were never disclosed or mentioned at any point: • The engine cover was cracked — something that should have been obvious to anyone servicing or inspecting the vehicle. • The radio and surrounding buttons are misaligned, with noticeable gaps. • A rear trim/back piece was also cracked. It is hard to believe that these issues were not seen or discussed by so-called trained staff during inspection, preparation, or even during the sales conversation and demonstration. These are not minor details, especially when buying a vehicle sight unseen. My overall experience with this dealership leads me to question their honesty and integrity. It feels like the priority was simply to sell the vehicle rather than be transparent about its condition. After the fact, I also noticed that other reviews reflect similar concerns. Based on my experience, I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. In my opinion, the response below seems generic and focused more on protecting the business than addressing customer concerns. Based on my experience, communication and accountability were lacking. I sent photos of the issue directly to the salesperson, but I never received a follow-up call or even an apology. I would advise others to proceed carefully and make sure everything is clearly documented before making a purchase.
Vijay Persad 4 months agoThe team at McCloskey's delivered outstanding service on my car's bodywork. Josh meticulously blended the paint, repaired my doors, and ensured my bumper was perfectly aligned. Their commitment to customer care is evident, treating clients like family. I am thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the results. Please keep up the fantastic work!!
Jennifer Wright 3 months agoWe worked with Peter in sales and Ken in finance. Both were friendly and professional. Peter was the right amount of salesman. We weren't rushed. There was no pressure to buy. We ended buying and we're glad we did. They will be out first stop whenever we need another vehicle!
Randall Damron 3 months agoWell first off I was really happy with my jeep and I still love it but let me tell you why I am giving one star review.........15 minutes after leaving the dealership the whole ragtop ripped completely off my jeep because the service department didn't properly install it and when I called Rafael to tell him and he referred me to the service dept who said they couldn't help me and when I called back yesterday and asked to speak with him I was told he was right there but then magically he had disappeared with another client. This was a huge safety issue and I was doing 75 mph when it ripped off. I bought a new ragtop already and low and behold the frame is bent and warped because the service dept installed the ragtop incorrectly. They kiss your buttons when you are in the sales seat but after the sale is done they won't even talk to you about important issues like this. I called the manager the other day and surprisingly they were "in a meeting" and surprise they never called me back. I have an appointment for my check engine light Friday and I hope the management can see their way down to talk to me about this because I still feel like I am being brushed off and not being listened to.........Well I just left the dealership and the manager called me a liar and said they absolutely weren't going to do anything about the negligence and that it was on me and I was probably at fault. How could I be at fault for something I had zero involvement in installing? The amount of disrespect I just received has really soured me from.ever buying from this dealership again. I had plans of bringing my daughter back in a few months and being a repeat customer myself but I will be damned if I set foot in another McCloskey Motors again. Take my advice and take your money elsewhere unless you want yo get taken advantage and told you are a liar then by all means spend your money here otherwise go somewhere where they will be honest and stand behind their sale and what they claim as after purchase service cause you won't get it here.
Chance DelCampo 5 months agoThe Gentleman that I talked to was nice, don't get me wrong. But when the adds say $4K for any trade regardless of age mileage or condition, like the ads say, it's off putting to say the least. I am in a time of need for a better car, preferably one that doesnt cost an arm and a leg to fix. There is certain criteria that you need to put in your ads like only available on specific cars that are over $10K and only specific models. I talked to a nice man named Colton via email, who then gave me a list to look at for the $4K trade in to be applied to, and just as I suspected... I can't view any of them because none of the 7 vehicles that are on that list are available to view on the website. I wish you were more open with your customers about the price/ very tiny list that the deal falls under is all. Feels a little shady to me. EDIT: The Gentleman I spoke with clearly stated that the vehicles aren't even on the website so how am I supposed to look for the qualifying vehicles? No need to try and clap back when you don't have the vehicles available to view. My sources are quite literally from an ad that said you had over 100 vehicles to choose from for that deal, and the list I received was only 7 vehicles.
